As the national tourism agency, VisitBritain/VisitEngland* plays a unique role in building England’s tourism product, raising Britain’s profile worldwide, increasing the volume and value of tourism exports and developing England and Britain’s visitor economy.
Working with a wide range of partners in both the UK and overseas, their mission is to grow the volume and value of inbound tourism across the nations and regions of Britain and to develop world-class English tourism product to support growth aspirations.
Capela Training and Capela China have enjoyed a close and fruitful collaboration for several years, combining forces with VisitBritain to deliver tour manager training and spread the word about the importance of China to UK tourism. Over the period Nov 15-Mar 16 Capela delivered China Welcome training to over 250 delegates in Northern England, heavily subsidised by the Northern Tourism Growth Fund, administered by VisitEngland.
Then, between 2017 and 2019, we devised and delivered the skills training elements for dozens of locations across England for 6 projects of the Discover England Fund, including US Connections, England Originals and Mayflower 400.
