Capela travel students gain top tourism marketing marks

Students who have been on Capela Travel Training courses have achieved 100% success rate against a national average of 65% in latest Chartered Institute of Marketing biannual assessment results.

Capela entered a record number of students from a range of travel organisations for the CIM Diploma in Tourism Marketing.

Successful students are employed by a range of travel companies including Thomas Cook, Easyjet, Journeys a la carte, Maison de la France, Medinland, St Vincent and the Grenadines Tourist Office, Starwood Hotels and Zambia National Tourist Board.

To complete the diploma, students write assignments for four modules:
marketing planning; tourist behaviour and motivation; hospitality and service marketing and marketing management in practice.

For potential students interested in the course, Capela is holding Open Days on 13 and 20 September 13 and 20 in London’s Regent Street, which is also where tutorials take place.

Thomas Lynch, Canary Islands assistant product manager for Thomas Cook Holidays, achieved his 2nd and 3rd ‘A’ grades, said: ‘With just one module to go, in December, I am still hoping to get a clean sweep of ‘A’s.

“The project assignments have been highly relevant to my day-to-day work for Thomas Cook. The support from the Capela team has been invaluable and their guidance has enabled me to attain the best possible marks.”
