CIM Diploma in Tourism Marketing 2006-2008

Why did you choose to study the CIM Diploma in Tourism Marketing?
After spending a few years working within the retail industry I wanted to learn more about marketing, strategies and learn a new element to the business. I work for a small independent company and I wanted to contribute more to the growth and development of the company.

Was the Capela course what you expected?
I expected the course to be quite in depth in terms of theory but It was useful knowing and having access to any changes that were occurring within the industry because it was always beneficial to quote up to date case studies.

What impact has this qualification had on your career or ability to carry out your job?
I know I have a better insight into the marketing and growth of Journeys a la Carte and I have been able to contribute in the marketing planning. I know in the future having this qualification on my CV will certainly prove to be beneficial.

Any further comments?
The support from the guide notes, the tutors and the tutorial sessions from Capela definitely helped me to achieve grades that I was pleased with. I think it is an excellent qualification to achieve and I’m really glad I have done it.
