CIM Diploma in Tourism Marketing 2007-2009

Why did you choose to study the CIM Diploma in Tourism Marketing?
It was a requisite for the role that I held a marketing qualification. Initially a straight diploma in marketing was considered until I noticed that a CIM Diploma in Tourism Marketing would be far more beneficial to my role. After speaking with Gary, I decided that this was the perfect course for the role and was also far more interesting than a straight marketing diploma. My employers agreed.

Was the Capela course what you expected?
Yes, Gary made it clear from the outset how the course worked and what was expected of me as a student. The tutorials were thoroughly enjoyable and gave me confidence to tackle the assignments.

What impact has this qualification had on your career or ability to carry out your job?
It has given me confidence to undertake the role as required and an experience of the industry I would have been lacking in otherwise. The course strongly relates to my everyday job and has been hugely beneficial to my understanding of the role and the development of myself as a marketer.

Any further comments?
Speak to Gary in the first instance to get a feel for what is expected of you. The qualification requires some serious hard work, but it’s enjoyable in the process and hugely rewarding. For anyone in the tourism and travel trade this is definitely a qualification worth considering.
