Why did you choose to study the Diploma in Hospitality & Tourism Marketing?
I chose to study this diploma after working in my first marketing role for two years. I was looking for the next step in my career and wanted to learn new ideas and gain a fresh perspective on how to approach daily business routines and challenges.
Was the Capela course what you expected?
It took a while to get used to working full time as well as juggling the assignments, but the course leaders do all they can to prepare you for the deadlines, the tutorials are great at making sure you are on the right track.
What impact has this qualification had on your career or ability to carry out your job?
During this time, I was seeking new job opportunities, and my pro-active attitude to study and my new ideas impressed my new manager during the interview process, which was thorough: a phone, one to one interview and a panel interview/presentation. It was hard but I got through and now I am in a challenging role which I embrace everyday with Hurtigruten.
