Steve is a marketer with nearly 30 years of practical experience in conceiving, directing and implementing marketing campaigns across a range of market sectors. He is today regarded as one of the UK’s leading proponents for digital marketing operations and is a much in demand speaker at major conferences, seminars and events across the globe.

Steve is CEO of Digital Drums, one of the UK’s leading digital strategy consultancies who have advised and worked with leading retail groups including Arcadia Plc, travel organisations including ABTA and Virgin Atlantic and government bodies ranging from local and regional government to national government.

In particular Steve’s expertise spans the whole array of social media and he is considered to be a leading thinker on brand and corporate interaction in the social networking, social bookmarking, user generated, blogging and micro blogging arenas.

Steve, a former head of PR for South African Airways, has guided two leading travel industry marketing agencies as managing director and is currently executive Chairman of travel specialist agency The Brighter Group.

He has several years experience as a tutor and examiner for the Chartered Institute of Marketing and the CAM Foundation. He is also an active Council member of CIMTIG – The Chartered Institute of Marketing Travel Industry Group.
