Approved Tour Leader Training Course

ATL is a newly developed 2-day training course, delivered exclusively by Capela Training and leading to certification from People First and UKinbound. It is aimed at Tour Leaders, both in London and throughout the UK. By ‘Tour Leaders’ we mean tourism personnel who meet and greet incoming guests, accompany them on day trips and short tours and help with hotel check-in rather than guiding.

Course Structure

The course runs over 2 consecutive days as follows:
* Day one: full day interactive classroom training on customer service, leading to individual certification under the ‘WorldHost’ programme run by People First

* Day two: Out and about on a coach learning and practising practical skills

Successful candidates will receive a certificate jointly issued by UKinbound and Capela Training. Maximum class size is 15.

Why should Tour Leaders attend?

* Inexperienced tour leaders can gain the necessary grounding in customer service and the practical skills of tour leading
* Experienced tour leaders can supplement their practical background with a recognised qualification
* The qualification will become an industry standard and over time a minimum requirement to work in this type of role
