Jingjing Yang

From Beijing Dr Jingjing Yang moved to the University of Surrey, where she now lives and lectures in Tourism Development and Tourism Management.

Dr Yang holds a PhD in tourism from University of Waikato, New Zealand. Her research interests include China’s tourism development and tourist behaviour. She leads modules in Tourist Behaviour, Tourism Development and Tourism Policy & Development at University of Surrey.

Dr Yang has provided training for Chinese National Tour Guide Certificate Programme, and has several years of working experience in the Chinese tourism industry. She worked in CRM for nearly three years in China and also has plenty of experience of being a tour guide and manager. She has escorted Chinese tourist groups internationally including to Australia, Korea and Japan.

Dr Yang has been involved in several research and planning projects on tourism destination development in China. Her research interests, training and working experience allow her an excellent understanding about Chinese tourist behaviour and needs.
